Information for Hough Parents

William A. Hough High School, we would argue, has been blessed with the best and most supportive group of parents in the whole state of North Carolina and we thank you for that, truly!

We just ask one small favor on behalf of all of the other excited and supportive parents...that you limit your applause and cheers so that the parents of the student after yours gets the same satisfaction in CLEARLY hearing their son/daughter's name called on graduation day. REMEMBER-Names are called very quickly one after another as we call out each of our nearly 500 graduates! So please respect and honor those behind your son/daughter.

PER CMS guidelines:

  • Show respect for all graduates

  • Applaud politely for each graduate

  • Limit cheers so every graduate's name is heard by all attendees

  • Remain seated during the entire ceremony - cannot leave seat to take pictures (we have hired a photographer)

Safety, security and past experiences dictate that the following items will not be allowed into the Bojangles Coliseum:

  • Parents are not allowed inside Bojangles Coliseum during the Rehearsal

  • No food or beverages

  • No flowers

  • No Duffel Bags

  • No Fanny Packs

  • No Back Packs

  • No Gifts

  • No Balloons

  • No Air Horns

  • No Noisemakers

  • Do not bring anything that could be perceived as disruptive or unsafe
